Currently we are looking for a Custom and Import Specialist.

General purpose of the job: Organize and order transport of import shipments and track their movement to final destination and to arrange customs clearance of import consignments in compliance with the specific requirements.

Main duties:

Oversee and coordinate all company import activities to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Prepare, review, and validate all documentation related to imports (e. g. , invoices, packing lists, customs clearance documents).

Plan, place, and monitor transport orders with freight forwarders.

Track supplier shipments to ensure on-time delivery, and promptly inform the Purchasing team of any transport delays.

Resolve import-related issues by identifying and implementing effective backup solutions in case of delivery disruptions.

Identify and recommend opportunities for cost reduction in import and customs processes.

Maintain and regularly update the import database; prepare and distribute periodic reports.

Ensure all customs clearance documentation is accurate, complete, and regularly updated in line with regulations.

Maintain a compliant and accurate customs archive for all import shipments for a minimum of five years.

Calculate and provide transport cost estimates for planned and actual deliveries when requested.

Collaborate closely with Finance, Purchasing, Site Procurement, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams on matters related to transport and import operations.

Requirements:

University bachelor’s degree (International Trade, Economics preferably).

Strong understanding of Bulgarian and international customs and tax legislation.

Proven experience in logistics, import/export and customs operations.

Intermediate English language level ; knowledge of international trade terminology.

Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Excellent communication, flexibility, adaptability, and strong motivation to achieve results.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, work effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines.
