Job Purpose:

As a Liferay Analyst and Senior Developer within the A1 Competence Delivery Center, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining Liferay-based solutions to meet the business needs of internal customers and stakeholders.

Your role involves a mix of back-end and front-end development, customization, integration, and problem-solving within the Liferay ecosystem based on Liferay Digital Experience Platform (DXP). You will work closely with these stakeholders to define requirements and goals for innovative and digital solutions based on Liferay Enterprise portal.

By leveraging your expertise in Liferay, you will contribute to the seamless developin and maintaing of A1 portal applications, ensuring robust and efficient business processes.

Role insights:

Developing Custom Portlets and Applications: Creating new functional modules (portlets) using Java and Liferay's development framework (e. g. , Liferay MVC, Spring Portlet MVC). This involves designing the user interface, implementing business logic, and handling data persistence.

Integration with External Systems: Connecting Liferay with other enterprise systems and applications (e. g. , CRM, ERP, authentication systems) using various integration methods like RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and Liferay's integration frameworks;

Conducting Unit Testing & Automating Regression Testing Scenarios and automate regression testing to ensure ongoing stability and performance;

Customizing Existing Liferay Features: Modifying and extending Liferay's out-of-the-box functionalities, such as web content management, user management, search, and workflow, to meet specific business requirements. This often involves using Liferay's extension points (hooks, service wrappers, etc. );

Supporting Incident Analysis: Utilise in-depth system and process knowledge to support incident analysis and resolution;

Being Part of a Cross-Functional, International, Agile Team: Collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds to achieve project goals.

What makes you unique:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and/or 4+ years of relevant work experience;

Understanding JSR 168 and JSR 286 portlet standards. Java Development background as well as design and development of web services (REST, SOAP). Spring Framework: Often used in conjunction with Liferay. Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Java and J2EE: As Liferay is built on Java;

Knowledge of Database tools (e. g. Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB);

Experience in requirements analysis and specification, as well as Knowledge of Liferay's core components, APIs, and development frameworks is clearly a plus;

Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a high problem-solving competence;

Understanding of the software development lifecycle and familiarity with agile project methodologies;

Resilient under stress and able to achieve the best results even in challenging situations;

Fluency in English; any other A1 Group language is an asset.
